Project Profile - Residential Hardscape with Retaining Wall Drainage

Step 1 - GCI 400 Series 4 oz. non-woven fabric lines the drainage trench behind a 3’ motared, chop block retaining wall.

Step 2 - Aggregrate is added to the trench under and around a 4” drain pipe with sock.

Step 3 - Trench is backfilled till pipe is covered.

Step 4 – GCI 400 Series is overlapped and secured with GCI Stick Pins (6”x 1”x 6”, 11 gauge staples).

Step 5 - Small aggregate is used to fill gaps between the wall and drain.

Step 6 - Large aggregate, demoled from the job is used as filler.

Step 7 - Area is backfilled and compacted in preparation for flagstone top.
